At GSC, we are all about our people. From our close knit Nottingham team, to the well-being of our factory staff, a safe and fair working environment is the crucial foundation to the success of our business.
We have non-negotiable principles such as full safety policies, limited overtime and fair pay that have created a culture where our workers feel safe, appreciated and respected. GSC is rooted in consistency, transparency and authenticity every step of the way.
The factories in our supply chain are SEDEX approved, with annual International Labour Standard (ILS) social audits, following Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) base code practices. We are committed to an environment with no slave or child labour, fair pay, limited overtime, bonus schemes, full health, safety and fire policies. All workers from office to factory are part of the GSC family and we are dedicated to consistently providing positive, fair and safe work conditions at each stage.
Our facilities are certified with Quality Management systems, in which all products follow meticulous recorded checks and inspections. In fact, a large quantity of our own-label products are produced in the same location as our products for The Walt Disney Company, sharing a strict and wide-stretching ethical policy, high quality production and top class working environments.
Our product integrity is gold standard. This means we surpass the minimum legal requirements for the quality of our products in terms of safety, durability, flammability and more. Safety for our children is our top priority, going above and beyond to ensure our products carry the CE mark to follow the requirements of European Regulations. Our regulations are firmly established in UK law and carry the UKCA mark to guarantee your trust as one of the leading brands in the UK education sector.
Lastly, our factories are subscribed to the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM), a sustainability assessment tool that regulates the measuring and evaluating of our environmental performance and impact. This means we can broaden the scope of GSC’s environmental policy to encompass not only our localised process, but the global supply chain too.
